MONDAY, AUG. 30 (2:00 p.m.) -- 11v11 OPEN SCHEDULE -- A partial schedule for the rest of the season has been posted. At this time, the times and sites are no included. It lists who will be playing who and who has a bye for each week's games. We hope to have a complete schedule posted by Wednesday, Sept. 1. 

SUNDAY, AUG. 29 (9:10 p.m.) -- 11v11 REGISTRATION CLOSES -- Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 5:00 p.m. All registration materials AND fees must be in the CSL Drop Box located at Fredericksburg Field House by then or players will be removed from roster who have not turned ALL materials in. Referees will be instructed to not let ANY player not listed on the roster to play. Teams that violate this will face fines and suspensions!

TUESDAY, JULY 13 (4:42 p.m.) -- FALL 2010 REGISTRATION BEGINS SUNDAY, JULY 18 -- The Fall 2010 Registration Letter has been posted. All team managers from the Spring 2010 season should have already received this letter, along with all other registration materials, in the mail with the Fall 2010 Registration Packet. If you are a player and haven't heard from your manager, you may want to contact them ASAP! CSL Will be changing from a Team Registration Fee to an Individual Player Registration Fee starting with the Fall 2010 season. Contact you manager, or click here for more details. 

MONDAY, JUNE 21 (7:33 a.m.) -- SPRING SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE -- The playoff Finals brought the Spring 2010 season to a close on Sunday at Partiot Park Field #1. Fusion FC won the Second Division Consolation Final, while FAC St. Corinthians took the First Division Championship Final. The day came to an end with the well-attended CSL Awards dinner at the Greene Turtle in Spotyslvania Towne Centre. Below are some details and Pictures will follow soon!

• SECOND DIVISION CONSLATION FINAL: Fusion FC came out strong in the game, taking a 2-0 first-half lead into the intermission. Rappahannock Sport put up a strong fight, eventually tying the game at 2-2 before the midway point of the second half. But Fusion would recover, retaking the lead when Nick Biggs ripped a shot over the goalie from about 30 yards out to go back ahead, 3-2, and would add two more goals for the final score of 5-2. Fusion's Ian Scott scored twice and was named the game's MVP.
• FIRST DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL: The game pitted the league's two unbeaten teams, Real International FC and FAC St. Corinthians, who had battled to a 1-1 tie earlier in the season. The first half was an end to end affair, but both team's defenses held firm though and the game went into the half tied 0-0. The heat took its toll in the second half until the game started to wind down. Both teams pushed hard to get a winner, but both goalies were up to the task making key saves to force the game into "Golden Goal" overtime. In the first extra period, regular-season top scorer Juan Meza got behind the Real defense on the right side and slipped a shot past the goalie and into the net to give FAC St. Corinthians a hard-earned 1-0 win. St. Corinthians' goalie Mike Kaliris was named the game's MVP.
• CSL AWARDS: Following the games, players, families and friends from the league's teams headed to the Greene Turtle as the league's awards were to be presented. FAC St. Corinthians (5-0-2) and Real International FC (6-0-1) received the trophies for topping Group A and B in Division 1. Juan Meza, who scored 11 regular-season goals for FAC St. Corinthians, was awarded the "Golden Boot" award for most goals scored. FAC Crush, which received no cards during the regular season, received the "Fair-Play" Award. FAC St. Corinthians rounded out the awards, by winning the "Stonewall" Award for having the top defense in the league, after allowing just four goals against in seven regular-season games. Also of note, Quantico United became the 10th team in CSL history to earn its 50th all-time win in all CSL competition during the season.

SUNDAY, JUNE 13 (9:35 p.m.) -- 11v11 OPEN DIVISION FINALS ARE SET -- The 11v11 Open Division semifinals finished up earlier today with four teams advancing to the two post-season finals. In the First Division, Real International FC will face FAC St. Corinthians. In the Second Division, Rappahannock Sport advanced to take on Fusion FC. Here are some details or Sunday's action:

• FIRST DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP SEMIFINALS: Real International FC took an esarly lead, but went a man down before the half after a red card. FAC Corinthians United scored before the intermission to make it 1-1 at the break. However, Real would take a 2-1 in midway through the second period before adding an insurance goal as United tried to push for the equalizer. In the second semifinal between FAC St. Corinthians and Quantico United, the game went end to end, but remained tied until the final minute. St. Corinthians sent a free kick from about 15 yard inside their offensive half of the midfield line over the Quantico goalie and in for the game winner. FINAL: Sunday, June 20, 3 p.m., at Patriot Park Field #1.
• SECOND DIVISION CONSOLATION SEMIFINALS: Misfits took a 1-0 lead in the first half. However, after going a man down when one of its players received a second yellow card, they saw Rappahannock Sport level the score at 1-1. Rapp Sport would eventually take a 2-1 and hold on for the win. In the second semifinal, Fusion FC's and Lee's Hill Soccer Club's goalies each kept the game scoreless through 90 minutes of regulation and 10 minutes of "Golden Goal" overtime. The game then went to penalty kicks where Fusion prevailed 3-2. FINAL: Sunday, June 20, 1 p.m., at Patriot Park Field #1.
• ******DON'T FORGET****** the CSL Spring Awards Dinner that will follow the finals. It will begin at 6 p.m. at the Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grill located in the Spotsylvania Towne Centre (Formerly Spotsylvania Mall!! The league is trying to get them to become a league sponsor... SO COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!!!

MONDAY, JUNE 7 (3:50 p.m.) -- FIELD HOUSE HOSTING ENGLAND-USA WORLD CUP VIEWING SATURDAY -- Fredericksburg Field House will be hosting a viewing party on Saturday, June 12 from 2-4:30 p.m. to watch the England vs. USA match. This will allow our 7v7 Coed Rec teams to play their games around the WC game and not miss any of the action. The Field House has food and drink available and we're looking into seeing if a local restaraunt might be able to donate some food!! If you know any, contact the league. The Field House does ask that you please bring a chair if you are going to be there as seating at the facility is limited!! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!! 

SUNDAY, MAY 30 (11:32 p.m.) -- CSL DC UNITED TRIP A SUCCESS -- Check out some pictures from CSL's trip to DC United's 3-2 win over Chivas USA on Saturday, May 29. There were 30+ of us tailgating and enjoying the game. We're looking into doing another trip for United's game vs. the L.A. Galaxy on Sunday, July 18. Check beack for details regularly!!! TUESDAY, MAY 25 (4:50 p.m.) -- 11v11 OPEN DIVISON PLAYOFF COMPLETE PLAYOFF SCHEDULE UPDATED -- The full 11v11 Open Division Playoff schedule has been posted. Quarterfinals will be June 6, Semifinals June 13 and Finals June 20. If we receive rain on June 6 or 13, teams should be prepared to play on SATURDAY, June 19 (Highlighted in yellow on the schedule).

SATURDAY, MAY 22 (11:52 p.m.) -- SUNDAY, MAY 23 11v11 OPEN DIVISION GAMES POSTPONED -- Sunday's 11v11 Open Division Quarterfinal games have been postponed due to heavy rains Saturday night and more rain that is expected throughout the day on Sunday. MONDAY, MAY 17 (2:06 p.m.) -- 11v11 SCHEDULE & STANDINGS CORRECTION -- IMPORTANT: A score was incorrectly recorded for the Sunday, May 16 games which caused the standings to be posted incorrectly. MONDAY, MAY 10 (2:51 p.m.) -- LANE M. EDWARDS -- As some of you may or may not know, Lane Edwards, who was 55 years old and played with and supported Lee's Hill Soccer Club for many years passed away unexpectedly early last Tuesday, May 4, morning. His sons Patrick, Eric and Kevin have all played in CSL throughout the years as well. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that anyone interested make memorial contributions to D.C. Scores (1224 M St., N.W., Suite 200, Washington, D.C. 20005) and/or Fredericksburg Big Brothers Big Sisters (325 Wallaces St., Fredericksburg, VA 22401-3122). TUESDAY, MAY 5 (12:19 p.m.) -- 11v11 OPEN SCHEDULE CORRECTION -- The May 16, 6:00 p.m. game scheduled at Loriella Park should be Quantico United vs. FAC Corinthians UNITED. The schedule currently reflects this correction. 

SUNDAY, MAY 2 (10:52 p.m.) -- SCHEDULE & RESULTS UPDATES -- 7v7 Coed Rec Division: The score between Tsunami Revolution and Fusion FC COED was incorrectly recorded and has been changed to reflect the actual score, which was 2-1 with Fusion FC COED winning. 11v11 Open Division: There has been a schedule change for Sunday, May 16. The 4:00 p.m. game will now be FAC Crush vs. Fusion FC and the 6:00 p.m. game will be Quantico United vs. FAC St. Corinthians with both games still being played at Loriella Park.

TUESDAY, APRIL 27 (5:18 p.m.) -- SCHEDULES UPDATED -- Both the 11v11 Open and 7v7 Coed Rec Division schedules have been updated. The 11v11 schedule reflects changes made due to the rain outs this past Sunday. The 7v7 schedule now reflects the addition of the final three weeks of the season where the top four teams will play round-robin to determine a Champion and the bottom three teams will play round-robin in the consolation round. All teams will finished with their guaranteed minimum of at least eight games played.

SUNDAY, APRIL 25 (3:09 a.m.) -- ALL 11v11 OPEN DIVISION GAMES POSTPONED -- All 11v11 games scheduled for Sunday, April 25 have been postponed. All teams and players are reminded to stay off all fields when CSL games are postponed or risk possible fines or suspensions. 

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21 (4:57 p.m.) -- DISCIPLINE & SCORING -- The Discipline and Scoring pages have been updated. 

MONDAY, APRIL 19 (4:19 p.m.) -- GARBAGE LEFT AROUND THE FIELDS -- We have just received complaints again about garbage (water bottles, tape, etc.) being left on the players' side, as well as, the spectators' side of the fields we use. There are plenty of trash cans located around each field where trash can be thrown away. DON'T BE LAZY, PICK UP YOUR TEAM'S GRABAGE!! Also, PLEASE encourage your spectators to pick up after themselves as well. Managers are encouraged to report teams to the league that are leaving gargabe in their team area after their games. With that in mind, teams are also encouraged to clean up garbage, whether it is their or not, left around the fields. If we do not comply with this, then we risk losing the fields. If it is reported that certain teams are continually caught not cleaning up after themselves the team, or teams, in question will be fined $50 in order to cover clean-up fees that the league may incure. Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

SUNDAY, APRIL 18 (9:03 p.m.) -- SPRING 2010 REGISTRATION IS CLOSED -- Player registration for the Spring 2010 season is now CLOSED for both the 11v11 Open and 7v7 Coed Rec Divisions.

SATURDAY, APRIL 10 (12:22 p.m.) -- 11v11 PLAYER REGISTRATION CLOSES SUNDAY -- Just a reminder to all 11v11 team managers that 11v11 Open player registrations CLOSED on Sunday, April 11. If you want to add any more players to your roster, ALL paperwork and fees must be in the CSL Drop Box located at Fredericksburg Field House before the Field House close. 7v7 COED REC DIVISION player registration will close on Saturday, April 17 with ALL paperwork and fees needing to be turned in to the CSL Drop Box before the Field House closed on April 17.

MONDAY, MARCH 29 (5:51 p.m.) -- CSL vs. GENERALS GAME A SUCCESS YET AGAIN -- The Generals won 13-4 on the scoreboard, but both teams and all who attended the exhibition match were winners. The level of play was much improved for the CSL squad after and 18-2 loss last year, as they even took an early 1-0 lead. But the main goal was to raise fund to help a good cause and that was accomplished, as the event raise several hundred dollars to help the "Students Helping Honduras" fundraising cause. SATURDAY, MARCH 27 (11:12 a.m.) -- 7v7 GAMES POSTPONED -- Saturday's 7v7 Coed Rec Division games are postponed due to standing water on the field.

MONDAY, MARCH 15 (2:26 a.m.) -- 11v11 AND 7v7 SCHEDULES AND DIVISION POSTED -- The Divisions and first two weeks of the schedules for the 11v11 Open and 7v7 Coed Rec Divisions have been posted. WE HAVE FORMED A 2ND 11V11 HOUSE TEAM (Called Casa CSL) THAT IS STILL IN NEED OF PLAYERS. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED OR KNOW ANYONE INTERESTED CLICK HERE TO EMAIL THE LEAGUE.

• 11v11 DIVISION: There will be one division for the 11v11 Spring season, split into two groups. Each team will play the other five teams in their group once and will also play 2 teams in the other group once. The top 3 teams from each group will advance to the First Division Playoffs. The bottom 3 teams from each group will go on to the Second Division Playoffs. Each Division winner will be the that Division's champion.
• 7v7 COED REC DIVISION: There are currently 7 teams in the divison. Currently, each team will have a bye each week of play. We are hoping to find enough players to eventually form a house team. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED OR KNOW ANYONE INTERESTED CLICK HERE TO EMAIL THE LEAGUE.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10 (2:27 p.m.) -- SUNDAY, MARCH 14 GAMES CANCELED -- All games scheduled for Sunday, March 14 have been canceled due to the impending rain that we are suppose to be getting over the next 3-4 days AND due to the league trying to find a few more teams. We hope to have the schedule for Sunday, March 21 posted as soon as possible. ***EVERYBODY SHOULD BE PREPARED TO PLAY SUNDAY, MARCH 21***

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3 (2:53 a.m.) -- SCHEDULES AND DIVISIONS -- The first week of the CSL 11v11 Open Schedule has been posted. Divisions haven't be finalized as we are hoping to find a few more teams so that we can have separate First and Second Divisions. With the 11 teams we currently have, we will have to play a one-division schedule. Hopefully, this will change in the coming weeks. The 7v7 Coed Division Schedule should be posted by sometime next week. We are still looking for one team to fill this division. 

TUESDAY, MARCH 2 (5:32 p.m.) -- MANDATORY MANAGERS' MEETING -- There is a mandatory Managers' Meeting to be held this Sunday, March 7, from 7-8 p.m. at Fredericksburg Field House. Managers MUST attend this meeting or send a designated representative from their team or risk possible fines and/or suspensions. The league will be reviewing all new rules and anything else deemed important for the upcoming season, as well as, electing league officers. 

SUNDAY, FEB. 28 (3:55 p.m.) -- FINAL PLAYER REGISTRATION MEETING -- Just a reminder that the final Player Registration Meeting for the Spring 2010 season is tonight from 7-9 p.m. at Fredericksburg Field House. This is your last chance to register 11v11 players and have them guaranteed to be registered in time for the first scheduled game for Sunday, March 14. 7v7 can still be registered by Saturday, March 6 and be guarateed to be registered for the first scheduled game for Saturday, March 20. REMEMBER: ALL fees and associated paperwork MUST be turned in together for players to be registered. For those that played during the Fall 2009 season, their player passes MUST be turned in, along with a Team Roster. SEE BELOW FOR A COMPLETE LIST OF PAPERWORK/FEES THAT ARE DUE (the Thursday, Feb. 18 entry).

THURSDAY, FEB. 18 (10:42 p.m.) -- PLAYER REGISTRATION MEETING REMINDER -- The league will be holding a Player Registration Meeting this Sunday, Feb. 21 beginning at 7 p.m. Team managers are encourage to be there as early possible to help move the process along. You must bring the following:

• Player Passes for returning players
• Player Passes and ALL Paperwork and associated fees for any player who did not play during the Fall 2009 season. Must be turned in: 1) $40 (new player) or $30 (renewing player), 2) Filled out and signed Member Registration Form, 3) Filled out and signed Player Pass, 4) 2 head shots (about driver's license size), 5) Photo copy of ID with pic, ID and DOB clear and legible.
• Roster with all players listed (only those with correct fees and completed paperwork turned in)
• INCOMPLETE PAPERWORK AND/OR PAPERWORK WITHOUT CORRECT FEES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!! *-Reminder that an 11v11 team must have at least 11 players registered by February 28 in order for the team to player their first scheduled game on March 14.

MONDAY, FEB. 8 (9:14 p.m.) -- TEAM REGISTRATION MEETING REMINDER -- The first meeting for the Spring 2010 season is scheduled for this Sunday, Feb. 14 from 7-9 p.m. at Fredericksburg Field House. Teams must turn in your "Team Registration Form" and your $500 nonrefundable deposit by this date. If you can not come to the meeting, please be sure to drop off your payment and form in the CSL Drop Box located at Fredericksburg Field House before the meeting! Also be sure to notify the league if you can't attend by emailing: thecsl1997@yahoo.com.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 23 (2:50 p.m.) -- SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE SPRING 2010 SEASON -- The CSL EBOD has voted to award each Open Division (11v11) winner a $1,000 credit toward the following season's registration, with the Division Runner-Up receiving a $500 credit. For more details, click here. 

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 24 (5:12 p.m.) -- F.C. FREDERICKSBURG GENERALS SEASON OPENER -- The F.C. Fredericksburg Generals open their 2009-10 PASL indoor season this Saturday. Click her for more details. 

SUNDAY, NOV. 22 (11:55 p.m.) -- CSL FALL FALL CHAMPIONSHIPS WRAP-UP -- Sunday's Division Finals at Loriella Park brought an end to the Fall 2009 season. SECOND DIVISION FINAL: In the opener, Chris Seymour scored in the 8th minute and Bryan Scharf tallied in the 44th to give regular-season champion Lee's Hill Soccer Club a 2-0 lead at the half over second-seeded Misfits. Misfits picked up its offensive play in the second half, but Lee's Hill's defense held strong to help them win their fourth-ever First Division title. FIRST DIVISION FINAL: In the following game, regular-season champions FAC St. Corinthians got a goal from Oscar Rivera in the 11th minute and was unlucky not to extend its advantage the rest of the way en route to a 1-0 over third-seeded Quantico United.
