Commonwealth Soccer League, Inc. (CSL) was established in 1997 and is the greater Fredericksburg area's only sanctioned outdoor adult soccer league. CSL is a registered member of the MDCVSA, USSF, USASA, and FIFA. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life and growing soccer within our community.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 23 (2:50 p.m.) -- SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE SPRING 2009 SEASON -- The CSL EBOD has voted to award each Open Division (11v11) winner a $1,000 credit toward the following season's registration, with the Division Runner-Up receiving a $500 credit. For more details, click here. 

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 24 (5:12 p.m.) -- F.C. FREDERICKSBURG GENERALS SEASON OPENER -- The F.C. Fredericksburg Generals open their 2009-10 PASL indoor season this Saturday. Click her for more details. 

SUNDAY, NOV. 22 (11:55 p.m.) -- CSL FALL FALL CHAMPIONSHIPS WRAP-UP -- Sunday's Division Finals at Loriella Park brought an end to the Fall 2009 season. SECOND DIVISION FINAL: In the opener, Chris Seymour scored in the 8th minute and Bryan Scharf tallied in the 44th to give regular-season champion Lee's Hill Soccer Club a 2-0 lead at the half over second-seeded Misfits. Misfits picked up its offensive play in the second half, but Lee's Hill's defense held strong to help them win their fourth-ever First Division title. FIRST DIVISION FINAL: In the following game, regular-season champions FAC St. Corinthians got a goal from Oscar Rivera in the 11th minute and was unlucky not to extend its advantage the rest of the way en route to a 1-0 over third-seeded Quantico United. Quantico fought hard in the second half, but wasn't able to break through as St. Corinthians earn its second-ever First Division Championship. Click here for pictures or visit the league's Facebook page by clicking here.

TUESDAY, NOV. 17 (12:12 p.m.) -- 7v7 COED REC DIVISION MAKE-UP GAMES -- The 7v7 Coed Rec Division has rescheduled last Saturday's rained out games for this Saturday, Nov. 21. Times have been slightly changed! Click here to view the updated schedule.  

FRIDAY, NOV. 13 (3:16 p.m.) -- CSL GAMES POSTPONED FOR NOV. 14 & NOV. 15 -- All CSL games scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14 AND Sunday, Nov. 15 have been postponed due to the heavy rain over the past few days. The 11v11 Open Division Finals have been reschedule for Sunday, Nov. 22 (Click here to view updated schedule). The 7v7 Coed Rec Division games have not yet been rescheduled. 

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 11 (UPDATED Nov. 18, 4:17 p.m.) -- CSL FINALS THIS SUNDAY, NOV. 22 (RESCHEDULED DUE TO RAIN OUTS) -- Commonwealth Soccer League will be holding its Fall 2009 division finals on Sunday, Nov. 15 at Loriella Park in Spotsylvania county.

THE SECOND DIVISION FINAL will kick off at 12:00 p.m. when top-seed Lee's Hill Soccer Club takes on second-seeded Misfits. Lee's Hill won the regular-season title with an undefeated record (6-0-0). Lee's Hill was the division's Stonewall Award winner for having the least goals allowed and has been led by a balanced offense with six players scoring two goals each leading in the championship game. The lone loss for Misfits (5-1-0) was a 3-1 setback against Lee's Hill. The team is led offensively by division Golden-Boot Award winner Brent McMaster, who has eight goals on the season.
THE FIRST DIVISION FINAL, which kicks off at 2:00 p.m., pits top-seeded FAC St. Corinthians (4-1-0) against third-seeded Quantico United (3-2-0). St. Corinthians reached the final after converting a late penalty kick to get a 2-1 win over FAC Calcio in last Sunday's semifinals. The team should be bolstered by the return of leading scorer Chris Anthony (four goals). Quantico advanced in dramatic fashion, when Julio Cesar Chavez scored in the final minute of the second Golden-Goal overtime to knock off defending champion Real International FC, 2-1, in last Sunday's semifinals.

MONDAY, NOV. 9 -- TIME CHANGE FOR CSL FALL 2009 FINALS -- The times for the CSL Fall finals have been changed to 11:00 a.m. (Second Division) and 1:00 p.m. (First Division). Both games will be played at Loriella Park. The Second Division final (11 a.m.) will pit Lee's Hill Soccer Club, the regular-season champion, against Misfits, the regular-season runner-up. SUNDAY, NOV. 8 -- FIRST DIVISION FINAL SET -- The teams for the First Division final have been set after this morning's action. FAC St. Corinthians prevailed 2-1 in the in the first game on a penalty kick goal late in the second half. In the second game, Quantico United topped Real International FC on a goal in the final minute of the second golden-goal overtime period.  

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 4 -- SCORING CORRECTIONS -- The 7v7 score between Fusion FC Coed and Tsunami Revolution was incorrectly reported and has been corrected. Fusion FC Coed won 6-1, the score was reported backward by accident. 

MONDAY, NOV. 2 (12:18 p.m.) -- UPDATED 11v11 OPEN SCHEDULE POSTED -- The updated 11v11 Open Schedule has been posted. Sunday's postponed games have been rescheduled for Sunday, Nov. 8 with the CSL Finals being moved to Sunday, Nov. 15 at Loriella Park. Was too difficult logistically to make a Satuday-Sunday schedule work for this coming weekend. Click here to see the updated schedule. 

SUNDAY, NOV. 1 (1:45 a.m.) -- SUNDAY GAMES POSTPONED --All CSL games scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 1 are postponed due to rain. All teams are reminded to stay of ALL fields when games are postponed or risk possible fines or suspensions. Teams should be prepared to play make-up games either next Saturday or Sunday OR BOTH DAYS next weekend Nov. 7-8.

Real International FC is paid up and will be in playoffs. Registration will be closed for ALL teams, 11v11 and 7v7, after Wednesday evening Sept. 23 at close of business for Fredericksburg Field House. All paperwork AND fees must be turned in to the CSL Drop Box, in a sealed envelope with the team name and player's name on the front.

MONDAY, SEPT. 14 (5:21 p.m.) -- SCHEDULES & STANDINGS UPDATED -- Both schedules and the standings have been updated to reflect this weekend's results. The 7v7 Coed Rec Division schedule has been updated to reflect the move back to 7 teams. 

THURSDAY, SEPT. 3 (4:53 p.m.) -- 11v11 OPEN SCHEDULE UPDATED -- An updated version of the 11v11 Open Schedule for the Regular Season First and Second Division teams has been posted. It will be updated again after this Sunday's two Second-Place Playoff games that will determine the final two teams in each division. Click here to view the schedule. 

TUESDAY, SEPT. 1 (3:10 p.m.) -- 7v7 COED REC DIVISION ADDED 8th TEAM -- Napoli has been added to the 7v7 Coed Rec Division, giving the division an even number of eight teams. The major change to the schedule is that there will be no bye week for teams now, with the addition of a 12:30 p.m. game. The updated schedule is posted and can be viewed by clicking the "7v7 Schedule" link at the top of the page. 

SUNDAY, AUG. 30 (7:36 p.m.) -- 11v11 OPEN UPDATE -- The 11v11 Open Division Standings and Schedule have been updated to show Regular Season Divisions and next Sunday, Sept. 6 2nd Place Playoffs games to determine the final two spots for each Regular Season Division.

MONDAY, AUG. 23 (6:09 p.m.) -- 7v7 COED REC DIVISION SCHEDULE -- The updated 7v7 Coed Rec Division schedule has been posted with the addition of a seventh team. Teams are now CSL United, Deportivo America, FAC Fury, HoloHolo, FC Field House, Fusion FC Coed and Tsunami Revolution. Sorry for any inconveniences with the adjusted schedule.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 6 (10:25 p.m.) -- FALL 2009 SCHEDULE -- The Fall 2009 11v11 Open Schedule is posted and can be viewed by clicking on the "Open Schedule" link at the top of the page. 

THURSDAY, JULY 2 (2:55 a.m.) -- FALL 2009 REGISTRATION -- Fall 2009 registration is underway. The Registration Letter is now posted. You can click the "Registration" link above to view it. If you were on a team in the Spring, contact your manager on what you need to do to get signed up this season. INDIVIDUALS: The league offers an 11v11 House Team for players who can't find a team on their own. There is also a 7v7 Coed Rec Division (men have to be over 30). We can also email your contact information out to all the managers that we have emails for in case they are looking for players. REMINDER: ALL players must renew their player passes before the Fall season starts.
